Now that I’m an official college graduate and working full time, it’s time I set aside some money goals for 2021…
Don’t spend my entire paycheck on stuff I don’t need
2020 was the year I spent literally every penny on stuff I didn’t need, which led to some overdrafting in my account and a lot of stuff that built up…but this year I’m definitely going to try to save a bit of money (really needed-especially with that stimulus check coming in and me getting paid every week).
Don’t use a buy now, pay later service ever
Part of the reason why I’ve been overdrafting my account is because of my utter reliance on buy now, pay later services like Klarna, Afterpay, and Quadpay. My goal for 2021 is to not use these services anymore because that’s going to lead to problems down the road.
Actually try to use cash
Even though this sounds completely counter-intuitive given that we are in the middle of a goddamn f**king pandemic, I’m still going to try to use cash to pay for stuff, because if I use cash, then at least I can try to be better at saving money. My goal for this is to make $100 last the entire week before I get paid without having to withdraw more.
Try to monetize my online platforms
With my blog, Instagram, Twitter, and now with two new online platforms in the making, I plan to monetize a couple of these online platforms so I can get a headstart on my dreams of being a part-time blogger.
What are your money goals for 2021?
