Now that I have (unfortunately or not…you decide) a lot more free time on my hands thanks to the global pandemic and subsequent lockdowns, I’ve had a lot more time to work on my blog, and here are some of my intentions for my blog this season!
Blog once a week
As much as I want to daily blog, I feel like this simply isn’t sustainable. It has reached a point where I’m scouring Pinterest and other blogs just for ideas, and I feel like even though it’s good to get inspiration from others, I don’t want to feel like I’m copying my favorite bloggers. I’m going to start scheduling my blog posts weekly, as I feel like that’s more doable than my former every day schedule or even the nonexistent schedule I have now. I can do a post twice a week occasionally, but more often than not, you’ll see the weekly posts.
Promote my blog posts daily
I’ve unfortunately been skipping out on this-some days I get practically no views because I forget to go to Buffer that day. I’ve been trying to get into the habit of doing that, and will add it as a task on Google Calendars (as well as my own planner).
Find new things to blog about that doesn’t involve buying things
In an effort to curb my spending for future plans, I want to write about things that don’t involve me buying things. I’ll go more into detail on another post, but right now, I really need to save. I’m planning on writing more lifestyle posts (like life advice, stuff like that) and shop my stash beauty posts (since you guys seem to love lists of my favorite products).
Learn how to promote blog Pinterest pins
I’ve been using IFTTT, which has an applet which allows Pinterest to automatically create a pin to my Blog Posts board, but unfortunately, the stuff that gets repinned from Tumblr gets more views, so I’ve been trying to learn how to get people to visit my blog via my pins.
Learn how to use Facebook to promote my posts
Facebook is a tricky little platform that I barely post on, and I’d like to learn how to use Facebook to promote my blog and get more people to follow my blog through there.
As you can see, my spring intentions for my blog mostly involve learning how to improve my SEO and domain authority, as well as trying to garner more views.
How are you trying to better your blog this spring?
