When it comes to my vast collection of makeup, I have several pick me ups that I love to rely on when I need a serious pick me up and here are some of the products I love…
The products that pick me up when I need a bit of pink in my life
When I need a bit of pink in my life, there are a few eyeshadow palettes I rely on, and the four most reliable palettes are the Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Sizzle Palette (discontinued), which has the most beautiful pink shades, the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette which is a classic, the Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Instant Look in A Palette which is a luxe version when I really want to indulge in my princess vibes, and the Makeup Revolution Pink Topaz palette from their Crystal collection for a luxe but affordable pick me up. For single shadows, I love the SB by Sarahlovsbeauty Eyeshadow in Pearl, which is the most perfect pink shadow.
The products that pick me up when my skin is acting up
When my skin is acting up, this is when I turn to my tried-and-true emergency use foundations, which are the Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation, the KvD Vegan Beauty Lock-It Foundation, and the Too Faced Peach Perfect Foundation as all of them are not only full coverage but you only need a little bit to hide every little flaw. I also love to set them using two Too Faced powders: the Born This Way Powder and the Peach Perfect Powder.
The products that pick me up when I feel a bit dull
When I feel like my face is looking a bit dull, I tend to go for highlighters and my favorite blushes to add a bit of color and sparkle. For blushes, I love the Too Faced Love Flush Blush in the shade Baby Love, a slightly peachy nude blush and the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Mood Exposure which is a lovely neutral plum. Another blush favorite is the Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Exposed, a lovely nude pink. For highlighters, I love the Too Faced Love Light Highlighter in Blinded by the Light, which is a subtle but beautiful icy champagne, and the Diamond Light Highlighter in Diamond Fire, which is a really beautiful iridescent pale beige.
The products that pick me up when I need a confidence boost
Weirdly enough, when I need a confidence boost I rely on lipstick and lipgloss, and some of my top favorites include the YSL Rouge Volupte in Nude Lavallaire and Blouson Pink, two beautiful nude pinks. Another nude pink favorite is the Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Pillow Talk, and MAC’s Patisserie and Syrup are two beautiful pink neutrals, with Syrup being the favorite of the two thanks to its lovely mauve color. Red lipsticks in particular give me a huge confidence boost and make me look put together, and for those, I love pulling out MAC’s Ruby Woo, Lady Danger, and Russian Red. For lipgloss, I love the Fenty Beauty Glossbombs in the original Fenty Glow shade, a beautiful bronzed rose, and Fu$$y, a bright but neutral pink. The Too Faced Rich & Dazzling Lipglosses are also a great confidence booster as I love how glittery and girly they look in the tube, but they apply so nicely.
