The second Sunday post! I know it’s been approximately two or three weeks since the last one, but stuff kept piling up. I’m really hoping to turn these into a weekly thing though, as for these, I have to keep making my own little flatlays and that’s going to inspire my blog photography.
Also, surprise, I keep adding new things to my collection of stuff to photograph, so over the past few weeks I’ve purchased the Vera Wang Princess perfume (the one everyone was over the moon for a few years ago) and a new purse (I’m gonna pop a new post up about my bag collection-it’s going to be a looong one).
Now onto the actual post…
The sad/family thing
Two weeks ago (around the time of my last Sunday Post) my dad started in-house hospice, and it’s honestly been devastating to see him get weaker and weaker each day. He’s now permanently on oxygen and spends most of the day sleeping cuz of the medication that he was given to make him more comfortable. Some days are better than others, and other days are not so good. Later on today, we’re going to have one last family time as my mom is bringing over my brother so we can at least have a photo taken before the inevitable happens. I can’t imagine what my poor mom is going through as they’ve been married 32 years-which is an incredibly bloody long time. Everyone at work has been so understanding though, which I’m really grateful for because it’s no fun when you’re trying to hold yourself together.
I started my final semester of school at around the same time that my dad started hospice, so that has been keeping me busy. So far, so good. I applied for graduation, and if all goes well, I’ll have my diploma in December/January.
A few online favorites…
☆ I’ve been browsing the Grief Support subreddit a lot lately and reading every post on there. It makes me feel less alone in a way and they’ve got a flair for anticipatory grief which I find very helpful.
